Can you believe it’s been 10 years since I started airing my grievances on the World Wide Web? I mean, who I am kidding? I don’t really need the holiday of Festivus to air my grievances. I guess it’s just fair for me to do it without facing any consequences. Right?

 

This year, since it’s been 10 years, I’m going to pull some of my favorite complaints from the past 10 blogs.

 

Here they are in no particular order:

 

• Spelling mistakes on profiles of Facebook, MySpace, blogs, etc. (2009)

• People who park in front of their driveways, instead of in them. (2009)

• TicketMaster/LiveNation fees. (2009)

• Working during any sort of weather event. (2010)

• When people can’t do their jobs right (2010)

• Traffic. (2010)

• People who exhaust their sick, personal, vacation and comp time. I mean exhaust, not jus use. (2011)

• Getting a really good deal on an item, only to find out that three days later there’s an even better deal. (2012)

• Hotels that charge a resort fee. Last I checked, WiFi and parking should always be free. (2012)

•  Lines or rather waiting in line (2013)

• Establishments that don’t have enough parking….or bathrooms (2013)

• People who get away with it – you know what I mean. (2014)

• Office politics. (2015)

• Being PC. Sometimes you just want to scream out – YOU’RE WRONG AND YOU’RE AN ASSHOLE! (2015)

• Lunch breaks – oh wait, I don’t take those. (2015)

• People who don’t read/check emails. Listen, the best thing about email is it’s instantaneous and you don’t need to wait for the mail guy to deliver it! (2015)

• The new Tonight Show ‘waitlist’ system for tickets. Go back to the old way, dammit. (2016)

• Certain CMS systems.  (2016)

• Getting up early for work (but I do like leaving early). (2017)

• Everyone’s sense of entitlement (2017)

• The fact that basically no one wants to work anymore. (2017)

• People who take my ‘spot’ at Zumba. (2017)

 

And since it really wouldn’t be a complete year and proper Festivus here are few gems from 2018:

 

• The ridiculous prices venues, vendors, etc. charge for weddings and Sweet 16s. No, I do not want to pay $125 a head for my stepdaughter’s Sweet 16.

• The way people try to impress.

• High taxes on Long Island.

• Ticketmaster.

• Commercials.

• The fact that the wedding dress shop seamstress didn’t listen to me and criticized me, and said ‘everyone has armpit fat’….and then my straps broke on my wedding day.

• The fact that I paid extra for Delta Comfort seats and it was the most uncomfortable plane ride I’ve ever taken…for my honeymoon.
